From my personal experience dating back in 2013 when AEM was still Adobe CQ. Adobe CQ3 I saw was not a pretty picture – desktop application running on Windows was heavy, with confusing UI. It was difficult to administer and program. Since then Adobe CQ5.6 and then AEM 6.x has transformed into a modern Web Application, build on open technology stacks, which attracts many to jump into the bandwagon of AEM. Adobe also announced AEM as a Cloud Service this year. Thus, further reduce the organizational IT maintenance.

Adobe has stepped up its Support

Supporting IT product has always been a challenge. Adobe has improved AEM product support over years. It has recently migrated the old DayCare support with new AEM Support Portal, which includes also a “Schedule Expert Session” link.

In addition to the standard product support, Adobe have created Experience League site, which is a hub for learning, forum to post question to fellow developers and users, and also another way to create a support ticket.

Partner Ecosystems

Adobe has build a fabulous ecosystem for their partners. It a wide range of certification, learning programs available the developers, marketers, sales, and business practitioners. Adobe waived certification fees during COVID-19, converted learning programs from onsite to virtual, organized many webinars, to help partners stay afloat on their learning paths.

in summary, we can see that with a well planned and supported contemporary product, AEM is here to serve enterprises for a long time ahead.
