Headquartered in Orange, California, MSI maintains over 45 state-of-the-art showrooms and distribution centers across the U.S. and Canada, with domestic manufacturing facilities for Q™ Premium Natural Quartz in Latta, South Carolina, and Premium LVT in Cartersville, Georgia.

The company planned to implement AEM Assets as part of its customer-facing implementation. However, critical problems prevented MSI from launching the platform.

Solution

Phase 1: Strategy and Planning

A dedicated team of Technical Leads and AEM Developers was assembled, including stakeholders from various departments within MSI. This team conducted workshops to define the project scope, objectives, and roadmap. A comprehensive audit of the existing digital assets and infrastructure was also conducted to inform the migration strategy.

Phase 2: Implementation

  • AEM Deployment:
  • The team deployed AEM 6.3 on-premise to ensure scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Custom Component Development: The team developed custom AEM components to meet specific functional requirements. 
  • Integration:  AEM was integrated with MSI’s Product Database and B2B platform to ensure the latest product images are regularly imported into AEM. Various custom reports were developed.
  • Content Migration: A phased content migration strategy was implemented, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to the business operations.

Phase 3: Training and Adoption

Comprehensive training programs were designed and delivered to MSI content authors, marketers, and IT staff. This facilitated the smooth adoption of the AEM platform and empowered teams to create, manage, and deploy content more efficiently.

The Marketing and Sales flows improved the content creation velocity three times.
