Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) empowers your marketers and has provided a superior content management system for years.
With the groundbreaking announcements at this month’s Adobe Summit, the superiority of AEM was confirmed as it empowers marketers even further.
I attended the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas this month and therefore had a front seat opportunity to learn about the AI-infused collaboration additions to AEM. This article begins by detailing these additions. I will then describe how you can update your AEM implementation to take advantage of the new capabilities…even if you are struggling with a stalled attempt at an implementation.
Five Major AEM Announcements from the Adobe Summit 2025
The Adobe Summit 2025 highlighted several major announcements, both by Adobe itself and in conjunction with other companies. These empower your marketers by incorporating AI-infused collaboration for content and digital asset management.
Adobe Experience Platform Content Production Agent and other Agent Orchestrators
Adobe announced a series of Adobe Experience Platform Agent Orchestrators. These artificial intelligence agents are purpose-built to perform repetitive work and let your team concentrate on creativity.
While many of the agents benefit users of AEM Sites and other Adobe components, the agent that most directly impacts AEM Assets is the Content Production Agent. This agent helps your team generate and assemble content based on a brief, while adhering to predefined brand guidelines. It results in faster ideation through streamlined content creation, informed optimization, and personalized interactions.
Expansions to Adobe Firefly Services
I have previously discussed Adobe Firefly and its benefits to both creatives and marketers. After the Adobe Summit, I am impressed by two expansions to its capabilities.
- Adobe Firefly Services, a collection of creative and generative APIs and services, now allows marketers and creatives to produce stellar multimedia experiences by its new support of video and 3D content.
- The Firefly Custom Models offering allows you to train Firefly on your own assets, adhering to your own brand guidelines, in a commercially safe manner. Custom Models now integrates with Adobe GenStudio for Performance Marketing to support on-brand scalability
Adobe is unifying marketing and creativity through its AI platform to deliver personalized experiences at scale.
Adobe Express Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot
This was the first of two joint Adobe-Microsoft announcements during Adobe Summit 2025. This builds upon existing Adobe-Microsoft collaborative efforts that I have previously discussed, including the ability to use document-based authoring to create rapidly-loading web content in Microsoft documents and workbooks using Adobe Edge Delivery Services.
As Microsoft retools its enterprise applications to take advantage of Microsoft’s Copilot-hosted generative AI capabilities, the companies announced the availability of Adobe Express Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot. This agent allows Microsoft users to remain in their host applications, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, PowerPoint, and Word. From these Microsoft applications, users can employ a conversational interface to create “stunning” images. These images can then be shared with AEM Assets for use in documents, presentations, white papers, social media posts, and in other channels.
Adobe Marketing Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot
The companies also announced a private preview of Adobe Marketing Agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot. This agent empowers marketers by incorporating three collaborative functions via Adobe Experience Cloud applications:
- A collaboration with the Adobe Experience Platform to access operational data and insights via Microsoft 365 Copilot’s conversational interface. These allow for audience analysis and improved personalization.
- A collaboration with Adobe Customer Journey Analytics to access campaign performance data in Microsoft 365 Copilot and present it in PowerPoint and Word.
- A collaboration with Adobe Workfront to further improve work management. In this case, the collaboration will pull content from PowerPoint, Teams, or Word to monitor health of projects.
Expanded Integration with Amazon Web Services
Organizations using both AEM and Amazon Web Services (AWS) will benefit from the improved collaboration between Adobe and Amazon products.
While Adobe Experience Platform was previously available on AWS, the companies have announced further integrations that empower your marketers even further:
- Improving omnichannel experiences by integrating AEM with Amazon Connect.
- Unifying customer experiences with information from Amazon Q in Connect and Adobe’s AEP AI Assistant alongside AI Agents.
- Delivering personalized ad experiences with information from Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (CDP) Collaboration and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
- Creating high-quality ads by integrating Amazon Ads with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
The end result is more informed insights from applications from both companies, resulting in superior content.
How Can You Empower Your Marketers and Implement the New AEM Features?
What if you want to empower your marketers with the newest additions to AEM, but your organization is dealing with a stalled or failed attempt to upgrade to the latest AEM version?
KBWEB’s AEM Resurgence revives a stalled implementation. As previously discussed, it includes the following five phases:
- Phase 1: Diagnose Project Status or Stalemate. We analyze your upgrade needs and perform an implementation health check on your current system.
- Phase 2: Define Completion Roadmap. We create a project plan with goals, milestones, resource allocations, and risk mitigations.
- Phase 3: Execute and Optimize Implementation. We upgrade necessary applications and interfaces, configure the software, implement new desired features, optimize the software, perform initial testing, and re-execute the implementation health check.
- Phase 4: Validate and Launch. We perform comprehensive testing and validation and perform a controlled cutover to the new system.
- Phase 5: Provide Dedicated Outsourced Support. We assign a dedicated outsourced AEM practitioner upon completion of a support agreement.
